Panthera Group received a £24,500 grant from the Community Solar Accelerator scheme to install a 50kW solar PV system on their roof.

Panthera Group provide construction site set-ups for vital site infrastructure services across London and the Home Counties. These include scaffolds, hoarding, temporary electrics/plumbing, site offices/welfare units and complete site set up.

Looking to make the industry more environmentally friendly, Panthera Group developed and patented EnviroHoard, which is a closed loop, uPVC Hoarding system, made from 100% post-production uPVC. The system is quick to install, re-useable, recyclable and has the benefit of being the first Net Zero Carbon Verified hoarding system in the UK.

Furthermore, they are reducing their carbon footprint by installing a 50kW solar PV array on their south facing roof. The installation of 124 solar panels is expected to generate 45,000kWh of electricity every year. This will reduce Panthera Group’s energy bills by £15,700 in the first year and is expected to increase in following years with increasing electricity prices. As a result, the system will have paid for itself within 2-3 years.

The carbon reduction is 15.8 tonnes CO2e* per year which is the equivalent of 261 tree seedlings grown for 10 years.
