Community Solar Accelerator

The Community Solar Accelerator was a grant scheme run by Brighton Energy Co-op and the EU Regional Development Fund between 2021 & 2023 to provide match-funding to businesses wishing to go solar. In total BEC facilitated 33 grants to SME businesses in the Coast to Capital area – amounting to £714.400.  The total solar electricity generated by these newly installed systems will be 2,414,000 kWh per year. That’s an enormous carbon saving of 848 tonnes!  See each of their case studies below.
