carolineHi folks,

Given that we’re in the middle of our fifth new community-owned installation, there’s an interesting debate on the 27th June on the ‘Future of Community Energy’ at Brighton’s EcoTechnology Show, 12-13.00.

Where are we going with our vision for locally-owned renewable energy? What might that future look like? I’m pleased to say I’ll be part of the debate chaired by Caroline Lucas MP, along with Christoph Harwood, Director, Marksman Consulting, Robert Rabinowitz, Chief Executive, PURE Leapfrog.

Community Energy has been an important driver in the rollout of renewables in Germany and Denmark. In the UK we’ve made a decent start. Next question: how do we scale up our efforts?

Registration is free for the show, for more information or to register in advance to avoid the queues go to www.ecotechnologyshow.co.uk

There’s also 70 talks and 140 exhibitors highlighting how you can save money and reap benefits; keynote speech is by Greg Barker MP, Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change, on the economic benefits of shifting to a lower carbon economy.

Hope to see you there!

Cheers

Will
