Happy New Year to you all!

Our largest ever solar system was signed off and switched on today.  1410 panels are set to produce a whooping 578kWp and save 400 tonnes of CO2 pollution each year.  Thank you to everyone who has invested so far and worked through the bitter cold to get the system operational.

Huge thanks to Rathfinny Wine Estate owners, Sarah & Mark Driver, for having the vision to embrace this huge community energy project.  It’s a credit to the sustainable credentials of the winery as a whole, and a great addition to their B Corp application.

We’ve raised a phenomenal £386,000 so far, our share offer is still open, so if you’re interested you can join BEC here.

We club together to increase local production of renewable energy and improve our energy security.  We know times are harder and uncertainty abounds, but we can also see that you have got the vision it takes to be the change you want to see in this world. We can’t do any of this without you – our wonderful members and supporters.

If you know someone interested in taking action on climate change through ethical investment, please tell them about this exciting opportunity to join Brighton Energy’s efforts. Join us now!

Warmest regards,

Will Cottrell, Chairman, Brighton Energy Co-op

P.S. Santa brought BEC too many Electric Vehicle Chargers for Christmas, so we have a 7kW & a 22kW for sale! Contact damian@brightonenergy.org.uk for full details.
