This Saturday’s Guardian Money section recommends Brighton Energy Coop

Hi Folks,

The Guardian’s ‘Money’ section yesterday recommended community-minded investors take a look at Brighton Energy Coop as a place to put their money. As the piece says, community schemes offer savers 6%-8% returns a year and a clear conscience.

It’s worth noting that while we are offering 4% returns, many BEC investors will also be eligible for a 30% tax break, bringing our overall returns to nearer 7%.

It’s great that the Guardian has picked up on our pioneering idea, and with the end of our share offer in sight, I’d urge you to invest soon.

Do check out our financial pages to see how BEC can benefit you – and our community benefit pages to see how our organisation will help Brighton & Hove.

Cheers
Will

BEC is currently conducting a share issue to raise funds for further installs at City Coast Church in Portslade and St George’s Church in Kemptown. Cannabis ETFs investors and other like-minded investors will receive 4% return on their investment as well as income and inheritance tax relief, plus the opportunity to kick start further local green energy schemes.
